I know...the information overload is already getting to me. Twitter was much easier to manage when following 100 tweeple....now at more than 300 it's hard to keep up. It's like the "Matrix" and a constant feed that is becoming too much at times. I guess the newer apps with filtering, etc will help the most....Twitter's open API allows developers to create apps that do these things. It's just like Facebook I suppose....it becomes too much after awhile and people do start to tune out....I now use nutshellmail.com with Facebook to email me updates so I don't have to login all the time. Check it out...totally worth it! Cheers!

Yeah, the media really has hyped up Twitter in recent weeks. I hope it is sustainable and Twitter doesn't fizzle out...my research depends on it...but I don't think we need to worry! :-P

That is quite ridiculous. The mainstream media's adoption in the past few weeks is driving this (IMHO)... all following Obama's talk to joint session a few weeks ago. Suddenly MSNBC is having a love affair w/ twitter. Anyhow - thanks for posting this link to Pew's study asking about twitter. hadn't heard of it and will def check out. probably worthy info for my prelims :)

It seems silly to me to have a Web site specifically for status updates, but this doesn't mean that it's not a great opportunity to reach a wide audience in seconds. It also becomes easier to keep your name/organization/product on their minds through constant updates. When does that become too much, though? When will people get tired of seeing your name and tune out Twitter all together?

Great work.. Keep it up!

(Feel free to return the favor..http://tehamagroupcommunications.prblogs.org/)
